In dreams, I drift away from night’s embrace,
Seeking hidden whispers where divinity rests,
Unaware of my own vanished trace,
How to live when my spirit protests?

Why do paths question where my home lies?
Why do echoes knock on doors undefined?
Roads stretch endless beneath clouded skies,
Search for me, I'm lost in the mind.

Heart beats wild while it's not aligned,
Breath survives but I am confined,
Grains of fate slip through fingers of time,
Destiny scattered, searching for rhyme.

How to script a tale anew?
Darkness inks where light withdrew.
Why do chosen sighs linger and accuse?
Why must I bear a life to misuse?

Lines on brows tell stories unkind,
This world is but a sketch refined,
Tears erase me as per divine decree,
Yet fate abides, unending, silently.

Why must I wake while He dreams on high?
Why does my God, with open eyes, lie?
Questions swirl in the wake of night,
Seeking solace in slumber's flight.
