Man consumed by greed realizes that theres more to life but too late
Change poem background
In shadows deep where gold once gleamed,
A man entranced by ceaseless dream;
He grasped for wealth with ruthless hand,
And watched as joy slipped through the sand.
His days were spent in fevered chase,
A hollow heart, a frantic pace;
Blind to the sky and ocean's grace,
He lost the moments he can't replace.
Now silvered hair and weary breath,
He stands upon the shores of death;
The sun descends, but light remains,
In whispered winds, now free from chains.
Too late, he sees what eyes betrayed—
The love, the time he should have stayed;
For greed consumed but did not feed,
A soul that's left to mourn its need.
