dark, depressing, melancholy, longing for a love for someone thats not real
Change poem background
Beneath the shroud of shadowed skies,
In night's embrace, where silence sighs,
A heart beats softly, wolven, lone,
Yearning for love, never known.
Glimpses of a face unreal,
A whispered name, a phantom feel,
Melancholy paints the dreams,
In moonlit hues of dire streams.
Phantoms dance where wishes weave,
In the hollow depths where spirits grieve,
Darkness drapes its velvet veil,
Across a love that can't prevail.
Yet still, within this night's lament,
Hope flickers, though the soul is spent,
For in this aching, silent plea,
Lies the wish of what could be.
