Poem about a warrior that wants to die, ready to welcome death on the present, not having a will to live. Sweet Surrender
Change poem background
In the twilight's gentle fold,
A weary warrior stands, so bold,
His armor worn, his sword laid bare,
With whispered winds that tease his hair.
Battle's cry no longer calls,
In echoes vast, the silence falls,
The burdened heart seeks rest to find,
In shadows deep, where thoughts unwind.
No longer clings to life's sharp edge,
In quiet grace, he takes the pledge,
To meet the night with tender breath,
Embracing now, sweet whispered Death.
The stars above in stillness gleam,
A final sigh, a last daydream,
With open arms, the end draws near,
Sweet surrender, void of fear.
