In the haze of an autumn day,
A beautiful lady crossed my way,
Her smile a fleeting, gentle light,
Our moment robbed by time's swift flight.
We met by chance, so occasionally,
Beside my car, parked under a tree.
A distant admirer, I remained,
As she walked her dog through sun-drenched lanes.
Yet in my mind, that smile still gleams,
A treasured star in my waking dreams.
And though the world must forge ahead,
Her image lingers, in heart and thread.
