Our dad, basketball at the Greenway, swimming and diving on holiday, orange car bubba, eclectic music taste, ooglie booglies, making discos cheesecake, helping us to learn to ride our bikes, car games on long journeys, orange smarties, orange polo shirts, loud elephant sneezes, fun, silly, caravan holidays, saying “It’ll grow back” when he hurt himself, wiggly ears and eye brows, always listening to LBC with James O’Boring!, vanilla scent, experimenting with new dinners, kind, caring, supportive, loving, timing us running down the road to practice for Sports Day
Change poem background
In the echoes of Greenway, where basketballs soar,
Our dad taught us courage on the sunlit floor.
With dives into the azure on holiday seas,
He showed us the thrill of the currents’ tease.
Our Orange Car Bubba would hum and purr,
Eclectic tunes playing, causing hearts to stir.
From ooglie booglies to disco cheesecakes,
His teachings in fun were joyful keepsakes.
Long rides were joy with car games unbound,
His orange-clad form a vibrant surround.
While elephant sneezes would bring giggles anew,
In caravans laughing, with skies so blue.
"It’ll grow back," he'd grin, when injuries came,
Wiggling ears and brows like a fun guessing game.
With James O’Boring, LBC nights were spun,
Dad’s vanilla experiments never to shun.
Supportive and kind, always urging to explore,
His love was the spark behind new dinners we’d adore.
Timing our runs for Sports Day bliss,
In his eyes, encouragement and a gentle kiss.
Through loud, fun, and silly, his spirit ignites,
A beacon of love, our eternal light.
