A hilarious Father’s Day poem for my brother Jared. He would give the shirt off his back. He is skilled with his hands and the work he does is just perfect. He takes me to Jazz games, and makes me laugh. He takes no crap from people. He has a quick wit, and is good at everything. A priesthood leader who loves and serves others. He loves to travel and is creative.

Here's to Jared, a brother so true,
A craftsman of skill, in all he can do.
He'd give you the shirt off his well-worn back,
With humor as sharp as a comic's wisecrack.
He takes me to Jazz games, where laughter's our play,
Defender of justice, won't stand for foul play.
With wit like a razor, he cuts to the core,
A master of all, yet always yearning for more.
A priesthood leader with service to spare,
Traveling far, spreading love everywhere.
Creative and thoughtful, a wanderer's soul,
In laughter and kindness, he's made himself whole.
So here's to you, Jared, on Father's Day bright,
A brother, a teacher, our laughter's delight.
