Change poem background
In the dawn of her sixtieth year,
Claire Acock beams with radiant cheer,
Having shed six stones, she stands tall and bright,
In vivid gems, she sparkles with light.
Draped in pink, with a colorful flair,
Her laughter dances through ocean air.
Mango and Biscuit wag by her side,
With neighborly dogs bound in her stride.
A friend indeed, with a heart so grand,
House by the sea, she nurtures the land.
With spray of sweet peas and gardens aglow,
She trails seeds of kindness wherever they sow.
Paddle in hand and bridge cards in play,
Her spirit ventures where the heart may sway—
From Cornwall's cliffs to India's embrace,
She finds joy in each foreign place.
Jemima in Canada, Rory down under,
Yet family ties never sunder.
With James, who mixes chutney with grace,
They cherish sweet moments, scarcely a trace.
In the classroom she shares stories and dreams,
Guiding young minds in literary streams.
Now on the beach with each new run,
New chapters of life begun with the sun.
A kaleidoscope life so rich and rare,
Here's a toast to our friend, the wondrous Claire.
