Analogy girl in picture at bottom of stairs forever mirrors my life and lack of progress
Change poem background
In the frame at the foot of the stair,
A girl with eyes that linger in air,
Forever poised but never to climb,
A moment captured, devoid of time.
Mirrors reflect her stagnant gaze,
A faceless echo in endless haze.
Life unmoved, a shadow dance,
Where dreams are tethered to circumstance.
Each step unreal, each day the same,
She whispers softly her wordless name.
In that split-second, both hers and mine,
I find a truth, a living sign.
Yet, beneath the stillness, a silent plea,
For motion's grace and destiny.
We seek to rise from where we stay,
Yet tread in place, day after day.
