wake up every morning to a heavy heart and carry my pain all day long, I put a mask on with a half a smile but deep inside I'm gone, when daylight has shifted and darkness appears I find myself broken in tears, as darkness resembles what I look like inside now it reflects into the dark of the night, the tears are streaming this pain remains broken, till it won't be repaired till I'm reunited with my son again. The longing for comfort and only he can give that, I acknowledge he walks with me each and every day but knowing I can't hold him or even hear his beautiful voice again, breaks me into small pieces that no one can repair, only my darling son can one day
Change poem background
In morning’s light, my heart is lead,
Each step, a sigh, where hope has fled.
I wear a smile, a crafted guise,
While shadows deepen in my eyes.
When day recedes to painted dusk,
My spirit, frail, in silence husked.
In night’s embrace, the truth unfurls,
A mirror to my shattered world.
Tears trace paths of hidden scars,
Longing for the tethered stars.
Though he walks beside each stride,
No arms, no voice where dreams abide.
In fragmented whispers I confess,
Only he can light this endlessness.
Till one day fades to sweet repair,
Reunited, mother’s prayer.
