wake up every morning to a heavy heart and carry my pain all day long, I put a mask on with a half a smile but deep inside I'm gone, when daylight has shifted and darkness appears I find myself broken in tears, as darkness resembles what I look like inside now it reflects into the dark of the night, the tears are streaming this pain remains broken, till it won't be repaired till I'm reunited with my son again. The longing for comfort and only he can give that, I acknowledge he walks with me each and every day but knowing I can't hold him or even hear his beautiful voice again, breaks me into small pieces that no one can repair, only my darling son can one day at heavens golden gate
Change poem background
Every morning's dawn breaks with a weight untold,
My heart, a vessel, silent, melancholy, cold.
I don a mask, a smile fractured yet worn,
While inside, a longing; my spirit forlorn.
As daylight wanes and shadows cast their net,
I crumble in tears, in grief and regret.
The darkness outside mirrors my soul's cry,
Echoing the sorrow beneath the starlit sky.
Tears carve paths where words fall shy,
This pain, unyielding, lingers nigh.
No solace found until we meet once more,
My dear son, at heaven's radiant door.
Though I feel you beside me with each passing day,
Apart, your absence is a deepening fray.
A voice I yearn for, a hand to hold,
In pieces I dwell, till reunion unfolds.
Oh, sweet son, your memory in my heart remains,
Till together we walk through heaven's golden plains.
