Change poem background
In memory of Lochlan, bittersweet and dear,
A space in my heart that will forever be near.
Though tears fill my eyes as I bid you farewell,
It's the laughter and love I'll continue to tell.
I remember the day, the surprise that you left,
Changing your nappy, both sticky and wet.
With laughter contagious, you spread joy so wide,
And then came the shower, my dignity's pride.
Now as you race through the stars way up high,
I look to the heavens, where cars swiftly fly.
Show me your biggest, your brightest of dreams,
I'll cherish these moments, or so it seems.
Lochlan, my dear, in my heart you'll remain,
In memories of laughter, through joy and through pain.
Though our time was short, our bond was great,
In each twinkling star, I know you'll await.
