make me a poem about the deep and terrifying realization that we are all going to die
Change poem background
In shadows cast by fleeting light,
Where whispers weave in endless night,
The ticking clock, with quiet breath,
Foretells the silent truth of death.
Each heartbeat drums a soft refrain,
A song of life, both sweet and vain,
The dance of life's ephemeral sway,
Bound to fade, and fall away.
But in this somber truth, profound,
Where mortality's shades resound,
Lies a fire, fierce and clear,
A call to live while we are here.
In knowing end, we find our grace,
To cherish time, in its embrace,
For though we're bound to sky's last sigh,
It's in the living we defy.
