Another Friday without you Didn't think I would have survived this weekThe amount of times I went to phone you or message you and realised I couldn't I want to tell you about what your sisters have gone through, and how brave they have beenSeeing so many drs hospitals and surgeriesTalking about the future with them worried about their health issues and the battles we face I'm so exhausted my body is screaming out in painI'm so lost without you, you was my sounding board but honestly my soul mate I could run too. I've longed for those words "I love you Mum" I really want one of our snuggles the one I bury my head into your neck and you hold me tight Wednesday marked 22 months without you The pain is unbearable, each day passing it's getting harder I try hold it together but time is no healer
Change poem background
Another Friday slips away, alone
In a world that once was ours to own.
I’ve wrestled through a week I feared,
Without your voice to calm or steer.
Phones become strangers in my hand,
A message I can't send or land.
Your sisters brave in battles wide,
Facing doctors with courage, side by side.
I speak of futures, fraught with fear,
In sterile rooms where you’re not near.
Exhaustion whispers in my bones,
Carving silence where laughter roams.
Lost without your guiding light,
My soul aches for you every night.
Those words, "I love you, Mum," so sweet,
Your embrace where worlds would meet.
Wednesday marked the twenty-two,
Months without your gentle view.
Time, they say, should heal the heart,
But in its grasp, we drift apart.
My essence cries out in silent pain,
For time's cruel touch leaves its stain.
Each day you’re gone, it seems untrue—
This sorrow’s song I pen for you.
