Change poem background
In the shadows of a teenage heart,
Where the echoes of struggle reside,
Each day feels like a jagged art,
A world where dreams and despair collide.
Living close to hear the storms,
Unraveling with each outburst cried,
I search for peace in borrowed forms,
Yet perfection seems to always hide.
On the sidelines, I watch them soar,
Friends in laughter, in life's bright spree,
While I bear burdens to the core,
Wondering if there'll ever be a freer me.
The weight of unmet dreams, it shows,
In silent scars that speak of pain,
Growing through these endless throes,
In darkness, seeking light's faint reign.
Though I try and fail, there's strength inside,
A flickering hope, a tender guide.
