Change poem background
Beneath an ominous and brooding sky,
The day turned dark as night drew nigh.
Winged creatures loomed, a foreboding sea,
The air oppressive with dread's decree.
Proud King Culmin, brave and bold,
Of House Prigent, Firehearted fold,
Rallied knights, his people's shield,
In the face of doom, he refused to yield.
The army marched, an invasion dire,
Monstrosities set the world afire.
A knight clad in crimson, dread's own hue,
Sir Ragnor Mortbane, fear struck anew.
The right hand of Metis, vile warlock's might,
His blood-red plates eclipsed the light.
Enchanted steel, Froststorm of dread,
Unleashed ice and lightning upon the dead.
King Culmin met him in valor's stand,
Bronze-clad, morningstar in hand.
Beside him stood his queen, family dear,
Against the tide, no room for fear.
But blade clashed on blade in fiery dance,
And hope dwindled with each passing chance.
Ragnor’s blade ignited, ember's flight,
And Noonday shattered, extinguished light.
The whirlwind rose, a cruel embrace,
Rending flesh, leaving no trace.
The king's fall marked destiny's frown,
His crown now dust with silent renown.
Ragnor bowed to horror's gaze,
Castle ruins in fear ablaze.
For none shall survive, his men concede,
In blood and fire, fulfilled their creed.
