In ancient streets where shadows long did play,
A voice rose up to greet the dawn of day.
In whispers vast, the truth began to speak,
And hearts once lost, His gentle light would seek.
Beneath the veil of night, the world was blind,
Yet stars above foretold of hope to find.
A light emerged from depths of silent skies,
And darkness trembled, yielding to His eyes.
O gleaming guide, the lamp to weary feet,
In times of doubt, Your presence is complete.
The Pharisees and scribes did question so,
Yet Wisdom’s light within continued to glow.
"I am the light," proclaims His voice serene,
The paths of night transcend to fields of green.
Without His glow, the soul would lose its way,
Forever wandering through endless gray.
The truth He spoke was not of worldly gain,
But deeper rivers flowing free from pain.
The freedom from the sin that chains the heart,
He invites all to make a sacred start.
O beacon bright, the true and gentle guide,
Whose light within does all the world abide,
Embrace us now, as we recall Your name,
And lead us onward, freed from guilt and shame.
In holy words, a promise to the bold,
That those who follow will be gently told,
The paths to walk, to embrace the pure light,
And find our peace, our day within the night.
So let us rise, and in His vision glow,
Enlightened evermore as we shall go.
For in His truth, the light continues on,
Our souls united with each breaking dawn.
