addiction started on the 31.10.2023 with joints and now joints and pills, a lost relationship with my little brother and guilt of not being able to save him as his older sister
Change poem background
In shadows cast by autumn's breath,
October's end, a date unkind,
A path of smoke, the fall of leaves,
Where innocence and solace find.
Through haze of joints and bitter pills,
Two souls once close, now drift apart,
A sister's love, a brother lost,
Guilt's heavy weight upon the heart.
I reach through fog-bound memories,
To find his laughter, bright and free,
But specters rise with every step,
Reminding of what used to be.
Oh, little brother, can you hear,
The echoes of a time we knew?
I blame myself, each whispered word,
For not being the shield to you.
Yet still within these silent cries,
A hope that someday paths align,
To mend the broken bonds of past,
And let love’s healing light refine.
