Change poem background
For Shirley, now seventy, a crown of years so grand,
Three decades weave our friendship, a bond so true and planned.
From workdays' kindling spark, to weekends cheeky and bright,
In places like Blackpool, Southport, under the seaside light.
Scarborough's echoes linger, Butlins' joy ever clear,
The sixties sang, and seventies danced through every cheer.
Champagne slipped like laughter, cava bubbled with grace,
As Linda and Trudy joined our vibrant embrace.
Yet, among all the memories, one stands above the rest,
Shirley's caravan in Skegness, our heart's true fest.
Beach festivals and ska weekends, with sand between our toes,
May this caravan of memories endlessly compose.
So here's to many more adventures, wrapped in laughter's lace,
A toast to Shirley's journey, and our timeless, cherished place.
