My brother Larry's 92nd birthday as a life time golfer and resident of Newport, RI
Change poem background
In Newport's embrace, where the sea winds sing,
My brother Larry marks another spring,
Ninety-two years of tales and of lore,
Where fairways whisper and seagulls soar.
A golf course symphony under skies so blue,
Each swing, a testament, the greens he knew;
With steady hands that time could not mar,
He found his journey 'neath the evening star.
The rolling waves in RI's gentle guise,
Witnessed his laughter, his wins, his sighs,
A lifetime of lessons, on sand and on sea,
In Newport's heart, forever he'll be.
Here's to Larry, with a life well played,
In sunlight and shadow, as daylight fades.
Ninety-two moments, each one a gem,
Woven in memories, his precious stem.
