Change poem background
Nineteen years, dear daughter and son-in-law,
you’ve built a love that leaves us still in awe—
not far from life, but in its busy heart,
where days run fast and kindness is an art.
One tends the earth, one helps high-school hearts grow;
you nurture more than you will ever know.
Two children, seventeen and fourteen, rise
with worlds already waking in their eyes.
Three cats, one dog, a tortoise taking time,
a lemon critter—joy beyond a rhyme.
Through all the rush, the beautiful, the new,
love makes its home, again, in both of you.
