Still dealing with PTSD from being raped by a friends crush in ninth grade
Change poem background
In shadowed halls of memory's keep,
A silent scream, a haunting creep,
The years have passed, yet time stands still,
Wounds unhealed, against my will.
In ninth grade's hall, where trust was chained,
A friend's crush turned, my world was stained,
A haunting echo, a whispered name,
Innocence lost, but who's to blame?
Through whispered winds, I search for peace,
In dreams, I seek a soft release,
Yet shadows linger, refuse to fade,
Of what was done, of how I'm made.
Resilience grows, though scarred and torn,
A battle fought with every morn,
In strength and truth, I find my way,
To banish shadows, greet the day.
