First time contracted covid, it took so long to get ride of, the first sign my immune system was weakened
Change poem background
In whispers of a fevered breeze,
The silent shadow crept, unseen,
A chill that curled with subtle ease,
In veins where strength had once been keen.
First cough, a herald none deny,
That harbinger of frail defeat,
As weary days unmoving fly,
And nights where restless hours repeat.
The body's fortress, once so bold,
Now wanes beneath the virus' dance,
Each breath a tale of battles told,
A fragile waltz of happenstance.
Yet in this trial, I discern,
The frailty that binds us tight—
A lesson borne from every turn,
To cherish health bathed in light.
