Change poem background
In the dawn's early light, shadows weep,
A father's soul in silence, dark and deep.
I wake to the echo, heart frozen, still,
The world shattered beyond my will.
The years like whispers, time’s cruel theft,
In that moment, all that was, bereft.
Though he was lost to the grave’s cold claim,
We all died that morning, lives not the same.
In the mirror, a stranger with eyes of rain,
Carved of the sorrow, born of the pain.
Yet through the shroud of what was left,
I rise anew, from night's soft theft.
Guilt and grief like haunting refrain,
Yet from the ashes, courage I've gained.
For though his body swung in the breathless air,
Resilience grew where despair laid bare.
