Bulimia. Not eating for days. The cold bathroom floor. The ceramic bowl. The gagging. The guilt.
Change poem background
In a silent struggle, she retreats alone,
To the cold bathroom floor, where shadows are sewn.
Eyes meet the ceramic, a vessel so wide,
Secrets of hunger that she cannot hide.
Days without eating, a ghost she becomes,
Chasing a solace that never comes.
Gagging each whisper the mirror displays,
In the echo of choices she made in a haze.
Guilt hangs like curtains, thick in the air,
Veiling her heart in a cloak of despair.
In porcelain confines, her battle unfolds,
Where unspoken fears and the hunger take hold.
Yet deep in the silence, a voice softly pleads,
For kindness within, to plant its seeds.
A journey from shadows, the strength to be whole,
To find in herself the unbreakable soul.
