It's mother's day and there is no mother better than mine. She is a mum and dad to me and has worked tierlesslessy to support me growing up. She has held my hand during my struggles and she has jumped for joy and pride at all my achievements. When I was at the lowest point in my life and had heartbreak like no other She would drive to my work every lunchtime, sit in the car with me and listen to me cry and talk about my feelings. She would cry to and always made sure to feed me lunch and give me a pep talk. I will never every forget the amount of kidness and care she showed.Mum gave me the best childhood ever and supported all my interests. She took me to Brownies classes and Harmonium classes and bollywood dance too. She was so proud of me. Every Friday, she would take me to my harmonium classes and after singingWe would go to my favourite fish and chip shop and spend time at my naanis house. I loved those moments what a treat. As I grew up, we would watch our favourite Indian dvds from southall together and eat the yummy food she made. She would take us to to dinner and dance events and we would dance and have fun together. When we came back from school there was always a delicious snack ready for us before dinner. I remember feeling her love through her cooking. And in the mornings she would make my favourites sweet elaichi bread and fried pitta breads with an amazing cup of tea. Mum always worked hard doing many jobs to make sure I had everything I needed. She worked days and nights and all her money was spent on her children. Everything she did was for me and my sister.Even today she is still just a phonecall away with her words of wisdom and kind heart. She is the best person I have ever met and she knows me better than anyone in this world because I grew inside her. I wish to be a mother like her one day because she is the best. She is love and she is my mum.
Change poem background
In the tapestry of life, her thread is gold,
Woven through years of stories untold.
She wears the crown of a love so rare,
A mum and dad in one, a heart to repair.
Through tireless days and sleepless nights,
She lit my path with guiding lights.
Holding my hand in the darkest hour,
Her strength and kindness, my steadfast tower.
When heartbreak whispered its cruel dismay,
She drove to meet me, come what may.
In lunchtime moments, car-bound and small,
We shared tears and dreams, she gave her all.
With Brownies, harmonium and dance in stride,
She nurtured my spirits, filled with pride.
Fridays woven with harmonium strings,
Fish and chips, and Naani's wings.
Southall DVDs, a world we’d share,
Her food, her love, beyond compare.
Dinners and dances, joy's sweet refrain,
In every meal, her love would remain.
Elaichi bread, pitta's crispy delight,
Morning tea brewed just right.
Through every job, both day and night,
She gifted us dreams, took wing in our flight.
A phone call away, her wisdom flows,
In every word, her kindness grows.
The best of all mothers, the world can see,
What love truly means, she taught to me.
In her embrace, I've found what’s true,
A love that binds and renews.
O, to be like her, a wish I hold dear,
For she is love; she is the star I revere.
